EXPERTISE

Jonalan has more than 20 years of pharmacy and health care experience. As a pharmacist and former health plan executive, Jonalan brings broad pharmacy, operational and clinical experience in health plans, government programs, and commercial insurance benefits.

After receiving his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completing an Executive Residency with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, Jonalan spent seven years in various leadership roles with a behavioral health specialty pharmacy company that is now an Optum Company. Following that, Jonalan had various roles including Vice President of Pharmacy Services and Chief Operating Officer for a large regional health plan.

Jonalan joined Excelsior Solutions in 2019 to lead the consultant team focused on developing strategies for health plans, health systems, and employers to efficiently manage their pharmacy benefit while improving the health of their population. Jonalan’s areas of expertise include:
